2. General information

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. Personal data is any information that can identify you personally. We process your data only where a legal basis under the GDPR applies, in particular your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) or our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Hostinger. When you visit the website, the server automatically records information that your browser transmits, such as IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is required to deliver the website securely and reliably and is deleted after a short period, unless it is needed to investigate security incidents. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with our hosting provider.

4. SSL/TLS encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content. You can recognise an encrypted connection by „https://“ and the lock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

5. Cookies and consent

We use technically necessary cookies so that the website, your login and the members‘ area work properly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 25(2) TDDDG). Any cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary are only used with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time via our cookie settings (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some functions may then no longer work.

6. Contacting us

If you contact us by e-mail or via a form on this website, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, message) to answer your enquiry and for any follow-up questions. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete this data once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your e-mail address (and your name, if provided) only to send you the newsletter. Subscription is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every newsletter or by e-mail to us. After you unsubscribe, your address is removed from the mailing list.

8. Customer account, courses and members‘ area

To access our courses, workshops and members‘ area, you can create a customer account. We process the data you provide (e.g. name, e-mail address, password, purchased content) to provide your account and the purchased content. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. You can ask us to delete your account at any time; data we are legally required to keep will be retained until the end of the retention period.

9. Orders and payment

When you place an order, we process the data required to conclude and carry out the contract, such as name, address, e-mail address, ordered products and payment information. To process payments, we pass the necessary data to the payment provider you choose during checkout, which processes it under its own privacy policy. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for tax and commercial retention obligations, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.

10. Fonts

The fonts used on this website are hosted locally on our server. No connection to external font servers (e.g. Google) is established when you visit the website.

11. Embedded content

Pages may contain embedded content from other websites (e.g. videos). Embedded content behaves as if you had visited the other website, and the provider may collect data about you. Where required, such content is only loaded after you have given your consent.

12. Transfer of data to the USA

As Awaken Codes LLC is based in the USA, personal data may be processed in the USA. Where data is transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA, we ensure an adequate level of protection, e.g. through the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 44 et seq. GDPR).

13. How long we keep your data

We only store personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes stated above, or as long as statutory retention periods require (e.g. up to 10 years for tax-relevant documents). After that, the data is deleted.

14. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
